WORKPLACE/MANAGEMENT
MEDIATION

Disagreements between co-owners, executives, and/or managers of businesses and professional practices are time-consuming, costly, and hamper individual and organizational success.  Left to fester, they often result in costly legal proceedings. Workplace mediation is a highly effective, private, relationship-enhancing, and inexpensive way of resolving these conflicts.

How does it work?

Upon the request of an owner, partner, or key executive, Out-of-Court Solutions explains the mediation process to the others involved in the conflict and invites them to participate.

The mediation begins with the mediator explaining certain rules and procedures, and asking the participants to share their individual perspectives, concerns, and goals. The sessions that follow involve a series of joint and separate conferences with the mediator helping the participants communicate, negotiate, resolve issues, and reach agreement. Upon resolution, the mediator prepares a written agreement detailing the decisions made by the participants.

Why use a professional mediator?

It’s difficult to see the picture when you’re inside the frame.”

What Workplace Situations Should Be Mediated?

KEY PERSONNEL CONFLICTS

All too often partners, owners of corporations, executives, managers, staff and others in the workplace have problems getting along.  When this happens, productivity suffers, stress mounts, and the likelihood of legal action increases.  Workplace mediation resolves these conflicts quickly and confidentially, redirecting the efforts of key personnel towards individual and organizational success.

PARTNERSHIP/STOCKHOLDER DISAGREEMENTS

Supportive relationships between partners or stockholders are essential for organizational effectiveness and prosperity. Workplace mediation provides a private and collaborative environment for partners and co-owners to resolve disagreements.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIPS AND OTHER BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS

Ending a business or professional relationship is normal and common. However, it doesn’t have to be financially and emotionally destructive. Workplace mediation provides a quick, inexpensive, confidential, and cooperative way for co-owners of businesses or professional practices to part with each other respectfully.

How much does it cost?

Each situation is different, with some concluding in one day and others in several. Nonetheless, Workplace mediation is inexpensive compared to using adversarial lawyers.
